German Explorer Day Camp "Detective"

German for Kids between 7 and 10 years of age - Holidays with a smile!
Holidays in Munich? Cool! The most international city in Germany has tons to offer when it comes to new worlds. Kids can experience so much with sphairos! And learn German at the same time! The time of year doesn’t matter: we spend our time indoors and outdoors. Finding new friends, speaking a new language and lots of opportunities to interact with native speakers – that’s learning with sphairos. Our motto is “Learning with a smile” – with a creative, playful and active approach, the German speaking instructors teach the sphairos concept. In a friendly, protective atmosphere – without pressure to perform – the children learn a foreign language with a big dose of fun. Speaking and using the language are at the forefront – it’s not like learning in school!
Lernen mit allen Sinnen!
Calling all the Sherlock Holmes of Munich! From 29 March to 1 April we will be detectives hot on the trail in Munich.
To begin with, you will get a detective’s badge that you can show when you are out on secret missions. And of course you will bring along the necessary items a genuine detective needs, like a magnifying glass or binoculars. Then it’s off to look for clues to solve the mystery at the end of the week.
For children between 7 and 10 years old.
Location of this camp is to be announced
Plan
On the first day, the caretaker gives the children an overview of the week. The rules for interacting with the other children are explained and the week’s projects are decided upon.
The activities spread out over the day happen indoors and outdoors – no matter the weather. We make sure to alternate between “active” and “playful” learning and that the children’s knowledge is challenged and pushed.
The camp takes place in Munich between 9 am and 4 pm. We offer “flextime” between 8 and 9 am and between 4 and 5 pm, when the children are taken care of but no teaching happens. These times must be booked separately. We have a lunch break together from 12 to 1 pm. The food is provided by a catering service and is eaten during the excursions.
We keep the size of the groups small for a reason – only 8 to 10 participants maximum. The children are placed into the appropriate group based on age and prior knowledge.
We would like to welcome all of our participants!
