English-speaking Climbing Camp for 11 to 13 year olds in Munich
Do you want to storm the mountain peak and get right up close to heaven? Then this is the right camp for you! The tallest peaks in the world are known to be on continents where you can use your English. Why not train both of these skills at the same time and get ready for the mountain-climbing life? Our English-speaking climbing camp takes place in the climbing hall in Gilching, in cooperation with the Munich chapter of the German Alpine Association (DAV). Children will be grouped according to age. Some will start with the English course while the others will start with the climbing course. We will have lunch together and then the groups will change activities. In the English course, the kids will use and deepen their understanding of the English they have learned in school. At the end of the week, all participants will have the chance to earn their DAV climbing certificate.
Details
The kids are assigned to English-learning groups according to age and knowledge of English, and we consider each child’s prior knowledge of English. While one group is beginning their English course, the others are equipping themselves with climbing shoes and ropes and scaling the walls. We have lunch together and then change activities.
In the English course, the kids will use and deepen their understanding of what they have learned in school. At the end of the week, all participants will have the chance to earn their DAV climbing certificate.
This is a Bring-Your-Own-Lunch camp. At the camp location, pizza and small sandwiches are available or the kids can bring their own lunch.
The camp takes place every day from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. We have lunch altogether with the kids. We also offer a shuttle service between 8 and 9 a.m. and 4 and 5 p.m. where we shuttle the children to the camp location with the Munich public transportation.
We look forward to welcoming all of our participants!
Location
Our climbing camp takes place in the climbing hall in Gilching (Frühlingstraße 18) in cooperation with the Munich chapter of the German Alpine Association (DAV).Shuttleservice
The climbing hall in Gilching is the ideal location to offer our climbing camps. Because it is not central and it is not possible for some parents to bring their kids there, we offer a shuttle service. We will accompany your child to the camp location. We will all meet at a central meeting place and from there we will accompany the children (maximum 5 children per escort) to Gilching and back again to the meeting place at the end of the day.Dates & Prices
