English Language Baseball Day Camp (Ages 6-12) – The true American Experience         

Ball – Strike – Out: Do you know what this is?  And what it means if the pitcher throws the ball to the batter in the strike zone? Come and find out in our new Baseball Camps!! One billion fans worldwide cannot be mistaken – Baseball is anything but boring, as various skills are needed: running, hitting, catching and throwing!

In cooperation with the local baseball club „Munich Caribes“, we are offering our first ever baseball and softball camps for kids between the ages of 6 to 12. In this purely English speaking camp, we will be focusing on sport activities, while immersing them into the language.

The international mix is what sets this camp apart. German and English speaking kids will come together under the shared English language and experience a typical American summer camp. You are on vacation – therefore there are no language courses. However, we only speak English with one another – learning by doing! Here you will not only improve your language skills, but also experience a piece of American culture here in Germany.

Details

In this camp you learn the basics of baseball: throwing, catching, and hitting. Since teamwork is a major aspect of the sport, we additionally focus on team building through games that are a lot of fun and help create trust and friendships with other kids in the camp. This teamwork concept will be further developed through eating lunch together daily.  What is on the menu?  How about original American style BBQ, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. – All the things you love to eat!

In order to encourage the intercultural exchange, there is no separation of ages or language levels. You all are one Team!

The Equipment – Helmets, Baseball gloves, balls, and bats – will all be provided by the camp!

The camp takes place daily between 9 am and 4 pm, which includes a lunch break together as a group. As an additional option, we offer extended supervision periods between 8 and 9 am, as well as 4 to 5 pm daily.

Location

The baseball camp is centrally located at the training facilities of the baseball club Munich Caribes, on Moosacherstraße 99, near the Olympiazentrum (directly on the stop of the U3 – Oberwiesenfeld, exit Straßbergerstraße). Plenty of parking is also available.

Summer 2012

August 1 – 3, 2012, € 156.00 for kids 6 to 12 years-old
September 3 – 7, 2012, € 259.00 for kids 6 to 12 years-old

Camp begins daily at 9 am and goes until 4 pm.  Whoever would like to bring their children earlier or pickup later, we offer the extended supervision period between 8 - 9 am and 4 - 5pm, for an additional € 10.00 per day.

Those who possess the „Münchner Ferienpasses“ will receive a 5% discount off the full camp cost.
